Who we are
Little Scoop Co., LLC is a family-owned company that publishes educational books, workbooks, and courses for children and young adults. Our websites include littlescoop.co and its subdomains.
What we collect and why
We collect only what we need to run our business and serve our customers:
- Purchase information — name, email address, and payment details when you buy a product. Payment processing is handled by Payhip; we do not store card numbers.
- Email address — when you sign up for our newsletter or contact us. We use this to send product updates and occasional announcements.
- Analytics data — pages visited, time on site, referral source, and general location (country/region). We use this to understand how our content is used. We do not use advertising trackers.
- License key delivery — we associate your email with your purchased product so we can resend access if needed.
Cookies and analytics
Our sites use basic analytics (such as Netlify Analytics or a privacy-first analytics tool) that may set cookies or use server-side logging. These are used solely to understand site traffic — not for advertising or cross-site tracking. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to use the site.
Email and marketing
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will send you occasional emails about new products, updates, and content. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. We do not sell or rent your email address to third parties.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
Our products are designed for children but are purchased and used by adults (parents, teachers, and guardians). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us without parental consent, please contact us at hello@littlescoop.co and we will delete it promptly.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Payhip — our storefront and payment processor, to fulfill your purchase.
- Email service providers — to send transactional and newsletter emails.
- Legal authorities — if required by law.
Data retention
We retain purchase records as required for tax and legal purposes. Newsletter subscribers' data is retained until they unsubscribe. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@littlescoop.co.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, or to opt out of certain uses. California residents have additional rights — see our Your Privacy Choices page. To exercise any right, contact us at hello@littlescoop.co.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of our sites after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
